Professional Apparel Designer with 18 years experience in Men’s, Women’s and Children’s apparel: Lifestyle, Golf, Swim, Active, Team-Sport, Tech-Outerwear, Skate, and fully-fashioned knits.  I have 16 years management experience of Designers, Artists and Assistants. My balance of professionalism and creativity, fit and aesthetics, and my appreciation for the art of design make me an excellent example for my fellow designers.   As a manager I challenge the team to innovate while creating beautiful garments for our customers as they grow as designers.  I have successfully built and grown brands my entire career. I strive to find a job I love so I can be FULLY ENGAGED and work to my maximum potential. I thrive working as an integral part of a team and I do my best when challenged and learning. EXPERIENCE Design Director – Junk Food – Cypress, CA                                               current Responsible for Men’s, Women’s, Toddler and Baby’s Lifestyle apparel for Target. Conceptual design, fabric selection, color, graphic placement and manipulation, fit, tech packs, training and mentor Jr. Designers. We design 4 – 6 capsules per year.

Freelance Design – ASICS/Nils/Crown Jewel, SoCal                                                       ongoing Work remotely or in-house on color palettes, fabric selection, conceptual design, tech-packs, specs, coloring up line, packaging, trims and more. Categories include: Women’s knits and lifestyle, Men’s and Women’s Run, Seamless underwear, Team-sport, Swim, Active, Women’s Technical Outerwear.

Senior Apparel Designer/Merchandiser – C1RCA, San Clemente, CA                     2011-2012 Design – Responsible for all aspects of design for three Men’s collections (including pro-rider styles) and one Women’s collection per season. Technical Design – Created all specs. Hired a model and ran fittings with my developer. Evaluated and streamlined fits to create a more cohesive product for our customers. Merchandising – Responsible for creating the visual line plans, style count and appropriate style selection for each given season.

Women’s Design Manager/Senior Designer – Oakley, Foothill Ranch, CA                 2006-2011 Management – Women’s Design Manager, responsible for five designers ranging from assistant to senior designers and a graphic artist. Designed or managed 130 styles per season. Design – Responsible for conceptual design and aesthetic of the lines including: hand sketching, storyboards, fabric selection, illustrations, critical measurements, trims, color and fittings. Categories included: Men’s and Women’s Golf, all Special Make Ups, Vault Line (boardshorts, tees and swim for Spring and tech-outerwear for Fall with coordinating lifestyle and fleece pieces), Women’s Training, Fleece, Lifestyle and Swim. Strategic Planning – Collaborated with President, VP, Directors, and Merchandising on future seasons. Associate Designer – TSE/Cashmere House, Santa Ana, CA                             1999-2005 Started as an Assistant Designer where I helped with daily communication with overseas factories, specing, building swatch palettes, facilitating business meetings, etc. Left as Associate Designer where I managed Neiman Marcus account with up to 200 styles per season.
